misspell - source code specialized misspelling checker

Even people living in the English speaking world will misspell the English. Rather, as Japanese people write sentences in Japanese, there are many misspellings in writing English sentences all the time. I do not see such finding well in the code.

This time, I will introduce misspell, a misspelling mistake specializing in source code in particular.

How to use misspell

You can use misspell on the command line. Just specify the file or directory.

  1. $ misspell Blog/
  2. 8.md:19:68: "currenty" is a misspelling of "currently"
  3. 2.md:217:34: "unneccesary" is a misspelling of "unnecessary"
Many of this software are built in some kind of editor or word processor. Since misspell can be used with CLI, it may be interesting to combine with CI etc. If you prevent common typos, you will not be ashamed of variable names or comments.

misspell is Go's open source software (MIT License).
