aha - HTML output of standard output in ANSI color as it is

When pasting contents operated at the terminal on a blog etc, it becomes black and white because it is only a text. In reality, it may be colored using ANSI color.

I want to use such a aha in such a case. You can HTMLize the output of the colorized terminal as it is.

How to use aha

Execute aha with the following command.

  1. aha --help | aha --black --title "the awesome aha help"> aha-help.htm
For example, the original output is as follows.

When you execute the command, HTML is generated and it is possible to check the terminal output coloring.

You can even color theme pink.

Aha's coloring is black, but you can change the style sheet there, so you can use your favorite coloring. It will be much easier to see if it is colored, so it seems to be good to use the output results when introducing it in blogs etc.

aha is C open source software (LGPL / Mozilla Public License).
