Speaking of CUI-based programming editor, vi / Emacs / nano will come up with it. Both are multifunctional and convenient software, but there may be feelings that you want to use a newer editor just as it existed from a long time ago.
I would like to use femto there. It will be a simple text editor made with Ruby.
How to use femto
It is a screen. There is no menu, only the editor is displayed.
Femto implements a basic shortcut based on the Ctrl key. Caret movement, character deletion, copy / paste is implemented. Although it may not be practical yet, it does not depend on the Ruby library and it operates faster. Will not it be possible to unexpectedly change if plug-in mechanisms are created in the future?
femto is Ruby software (license is Unlicense).
